This General Motors Futurliner was one of twelve built in the late 30's with futuristic art deco styling.With the advent of World War II, they were mothballed for several years, and then used in the early 50's for General Motor's Parade of Progress caravans that toured the country to display and promote the new technology of the day.
___I think old cars have much more character than new ones and are definitely more photogenic. But, I like anything that rolls and have owned and worked on dozens of old cars over the years. Like photography, old cars bring back memories of times in the past. ___A traveller since I was a little kid, camping in National Parks on yearly family vacations, I continue to travel today with my wife of thirty years, who also happens to own a travel agency.
